Privacy

This notice explains how AskAboutPBAT handles information when you ask questions, browse trust pages, or optionally create an account. The platform is independent and is not an official government website.

What we collect

  • Guest session identifiers stored in secure, server-issued cookies so rate limits and short-lived conversation continuity can work.
  • Questions, answers, citations and related metadata needed to operate the Ask experience and abuse controls.
  • Optional account details if you sign in to save history, subject to informed consent.
  • Technical logs such as approximate timing, model identity, latency and failure codes, without unnecessary retention of sensitive content.

Guest and signed-in retention

Guest conversations are retained for a limited period disclosed in product settings (commonly measured in hours). Signed-in saved history remains available until you delete it or your account ends, subject to legal retention needs and security investigation exceptions.

AI processing

Questions may be processed by approved server-side AI services for moderation, retrieval, answer composition, transcription and speech. Prompts and retrieved documents are treated as untrusted content. Answers may include AI-generated text; citations should be checked before reliance.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Processors such as hosting, authentication and AI providers receive only what is required to deliver the service, under contractual controls. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect users and the platform from serious harm.
